How to Enable Manual Updates on Awstats

AWstats short for AdvancedWebStatistics is a powerful log analyzer, generating advanced web, FTP, email and media server statistics reports. The data collected is based on the data contained in various server logs. The information is then presented in an easy and intuitive layout within cPanel.

The log from which AWstats collects data rotates once per 2 -24 hours, depending on server settings and server load. Sometimes you may want to go straight to the stats, which is why AWstats has a configuration that you can use to enable the "Update now" button within the AWstats interface. To do this, navigate to the following file using cPanel FileManager or SSH:

/home/user/tmp/awstats/awstats.domainanda.com.conf

And open for editing. Please replace "user" in the above path with your actual cPanel username. After that, look for this line of code:

AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser=0

And change it to:

AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser=1

If you are inside the AWstats tool, please refresh the page, and an "Update Now" button will now appear above the "Summary" section above the Awstats page.
