Extract is an action or process to get binary data from a data source for data processing or data storage purposes. This process is usually followed by data transformation. In computer science, the Extract process is carried out on data that has been compressed first. Extract function in general has become one with the compression application. If you have archive/compress files in the form of .zip, .Tar, .Gzip, .Bzip2 then you can directly extract them through the file manager.
The following are the steps in Operating Extract in File Manager:
- Make sure you are on the File Manager page on your Cpanel Hosting.
- Click on the .zip file that you want to extract then click the Extract button on the toolbar, or you can also right-click the .zip file and select the Extract menu.
