To create a new file with the extension .txt, .html, .php, and so on, you simply access the directory or folder where you want to save the file. Just like a regular computer in cPanel you can also add or remove a file.
The following are the steps for the Operation of Creating a New File in the File Manager:
- For example, if you want to create a new file in the public_html directory, then click public_html in the left pane (directory list panel) and then click the
New Filebutton.
- In the pop-up window that appears, name your new file and its extension in the
New File Namesection. - For example, if you want to create a file example.txt then name your file with example.txt. If you have clicked the button
Create New Files.
